CROSSOVER Presents SBTG for Clarks Originals “The Wallabee”
CROSSOVER is proud to announce an exciting collaboration with Clarks Originals, bringing together
the creative genius of SBTG to reimagine the iconic Wallabee silhouette. This collaboration marks a
celebration of artistry, culture, and timeless style, culminating in a truly unique footwear offering.
The genesis of this collaboration stems from the opening of CROSSOVER's latest flagship store in TRX,
Kuala Lumpur. To commemorate this milestone, CROSSOVER and Clarks Originals have joined forces
to present a collaborative Wallabee shoe that pays homage to one of CROSSOVER's archival designs
- the Bandana Paisley Pattern. Elevating this design is the renowned sneaker designer Mark Ong, also
known as SBTG, whose artistic vision adds a fresh perspective to the classic Wallabee silhouette.
For Clarks Originals, the Wallabee has long served as a canvas for experimentation, making it the
perfect choice for this revitalization project. Mark Ong, fresh off the success of collaborations with
Nike and New Balance, infuses the Wallabee with his signature style, drawing inspiration from the
early 1980s two-tone scene in the UK.
The result is a stunning reinterpretation of the Wallabee, featuring a captivating two-tone makeover
that merges shades of black and grey to create a visually striking upper. The addition of the Bandana
Paisley Pattern and an additional shroud adds depth and complexity to the silhouette, while
signature engravings from both SBTG and CROSSOVER further enhance its exclusivity.
Despite the modern reinterpretation, the Wallabee maintains its originality and comfort, staying true
to its heritage as a beloved classic. This collaboration represents a meeting of minds between
CROSSOVER, Clarks Originals, and SBTG, resulting in a shoe that seamlessly blends contemporary
design with timeless elegance.
To celebrate the launch, CROSSOVER and Clarks Originals have teamed up to present the SBTG Workshop with Hot Foil Stamping, hosted by Mark the artist himself, championing all things WALLABEE. Enjoy the soundtrack by DJ Xu and bespoke coffee by 103 Coffee.
