Vault by Vans x NEIGHBORHOOD Embrace BMX Culture in their New Collaboration

Vans, the original action sports footwear and apparel brand, has collaborated with NEIGHBORHOOD to pay homage to the importance of BMX during Vans formative years. For their most recent collaboration, Vault by Vans x NEIGHBORHOOD utilize iconic Vans footwear silhouettes, the Authentic and Sk8-Hi in classic colorways and prints.

Drawing inspiration from 80’s BMX culture, this collection captures styling cues that Vans offers through their customization options, that lend to a vintage look on the OG LX silhouettes.

The Authentic was the first shoe that Vans produced in 1966. In this collection, the style has been reimagined using a two-tone combination of the checkered flag pattern, solid colors and checkerboard motif along the foxing tape.

The revolutionary Sk8-Hi silhouette took the Southern Californian skate scene by storm when they first appeared in 1978 and are still considered classics today. NEIGHBORHOOD’s selected graphic offerings are stamped throughout the side panels of both red and black models for a nostalgic BMX look.
