1. Can you share with us your MCO experiences? What you have been doing from the 1st MCO until now, and are there any changes to your daily routines?

I guess I can speak for everyone when the first MCO hit us, we were still trying to grasp on to what the impact of lockdown is to us on all levels and that includes personal, professional, mental, physical and etc. During that period of my life, I took the time to recollect, reflect and readjust accordingly. I also picked up new skills, I locked down a consistent yoga practice and at the same time strategising with the team at 33.3™ on how we can overcome the hurdles we face as a business.

There’s a sense of deja vu with the second MCO but I’m managing it better so far after going through it in 2020.

2. What is your view on our current politic scene?

Malaysia’s political scene needs to be immortalised into a Hollywood suspense / thriller film. A lot has happened for the past 2 years and I hope we’ll be able to steady the ship in the near future for everyone’s sake.

3. Are they any music or band that had changed your life?

I would say when I discovered electronic music during my early college years particularly from labels such as Warp Records, Hyperdub and R&S Records - the sound and visuals played a huge role in shaping my creative approach. Also, love him or hate him - Kanye West’s vision and what he has achieved as an artist is a big inspiration to me. Creatively amazing, always pushing boundaries and equally important is he’s running a successful business with his Yeezy brand.

“PARADISE IS STATE OF MIND” BECAUSE IT IS NOW MORE THAN EVER.

4. What is your most-watched movie?

Currently I would say Sicario - I’ve seen it so many times and it’s a gorgeously made movie. My favourite scene I would be that Mexico border scene. That scene is a master class in editing and narrative tension. Benicio Del Toro, Josh Brolin and Emily Blunt giving solid performances throughout the movie and not to forget the heart throbbing score provided by Jóhann Jóhannsson.

5. Can you recommend any good read?

I’m currently half-way into Daniel Kahneman’s ‘Thinking Fast and Slow’. It’s a collection of insights into the human mind and reveals how and why we make the choices we make. One of the things this book taught me is to be more conscious of my thought process.
