Roots & Origins : Challenger Japan

Satoru Taguchi,  one of Japanese top professional skateboarders founded the “CHALLENGER” back in 2009, with its flagship store opened in Harajuku, Tokyo. 
 
Taking after the American Garage concept, the brand invented a culture involving mechanical complex like vehicle, motorbike, skateboarding and few musical instruments, variation that appeals to all men of all ages and it then became a favorite place for many enthusiasts mainly of skateboarders, bike builders and musician. 
 
In 2014, to honor their 5th year anniversary, an exclusive store called “PROTOTYPE” were temporarily opened, selling exclusive items of their collaboration works with other top tier’s fashion brands, artists, skateboarders and bike builders.
