QUICK HISTORY

Out of love and necessity rather than profit and novelty, Patta opened its doors in 2004. Situated right in the heart of Amsterdam, the store literally became the centre of attention by bringing new excitement to the Dutch street wear scene. Founded by Edson Sabajo and Guillaume ‘Gee’ Schmidt as a means to provide themselves, as well as their friends and family with a steady supply of footwear and gear, that which has started as a hobby, has now flourished into a thriving business and recognisable brand.

Boasting collaborations with some of the biggest names in sportswear, music, fashion and the arts, the brand has grown a diverse cult following among sneaker freaks, music aficionados,fashion trendsetters and culturally-minded individuals.

The world is reconnecting in 2023, and it begins with the
Patta World Tour.

Originally an extension to the Patta Asia Tour in 2017, the Patta World Tour will revolve around the exclusive Patta For Life documentary film, which was originally released back in 2022. The documentary, directed by Dutch film studio Goodville, showcases how Edson Sabajo and Guillaume 'Gee' Schmidt built the Patta empire to become a world-rivalling cult-favourite brand we know and love today.
