Carhartt WIP x Converse Chuck 70 ICONS
For Spring/Summer 2021, Carhartt WIP and Converse reintroduce an
iteration of the iconic and versatile Chuck 70 – a contemporary take on the
Chuck Taylor All Star – with distinct nuances first seen in Spring/Summer
2019.
Taking inspiration from classic Carhartt WIP fabrics and detailing, the pack
continues to explore both brands’ respective DNA, to create two premium
takes on the silhouette. The first features a woodland camouflage print – a
motif which has been present in Carhartt WIP collections since the early 90s.
The second, appears in a classic Hamilton Brown canvas, which references
archetypal Carhartt WIP garments, such as the Double Knee Pant and Active
Jacket.
Both colorways feature premium construction and materials, combining Carhartt WIP’s reputation for robust, hardwearing products with one of Converse’s most celebrated designs. A 12 oz canvas offers durability and a premium feel, while the cushioning of an OrthoLite insole provides comfort for the wearer. There’s also a keen attention to detail, seen in the inclusion of subtle vintage license plates and co-branded footbeds.
