PATTA & NEW BALANCE MADE IN UK 991V2: SHOWCASE THE TECHNICAL UPGRADES
Patta and New Balance embrace the evolution of an icon, with a mix of premium materials and bold colors that highlight the MADE in UK 991v2’s new and upgraded design elements.
As longtime streetwear mainstays, Patta truly understands the
significance when an icon like the 991 is updated. The Patta & New
Balance MADE in UK 991v2 is built on a combination of reverence
for the original and the excitement of a new design. Patta
embraced the technical evolution of the classic silhouette,
outfitting the nubuck, leather, and mesh upper in dark, ‘pickled
beet’ purple and grey.
This bold color combination is accented at the outsole and midsole
with a fluorescent shade of yellow, which highlights the new
features, FuelCell and reengineered ABZORB SBS pods. The
design is rounded out with a metallic silver tongue badge, featuring
tonal, co-branded text branding, alongside the new ‘v2’ mark
“We have a lot of respect for the iconic 991 design and the craftsmanship New Balance has mastered. Within the confines of that reverence, we went looking to combine it with newness that the update of this silhouette deserves,” says the Patta team when asked about working with New Balance.
